Spring is here!
So everything has been crazy-busy here with us. We have been enjoying the last several days of warmer weather! We have been able to enjoy the outdoors a lot over the last week! The girls have been busy playing in the backyard, getting our veggie garden ready, playing ponies on the swing, chalk, building sandcastles in the sand that spilled out of the basketball hoop that fell down in a windstorm, and riding there bikes up and down the sidewalk in our backyard!
As far as Taylor is concerned....
As far as Taylor is concerned....
she has been doing pretty well. As far as the Leukemia she is still in remission and on track for her last day of treatment on December 26th of this year! Woooo Whooo! Taylor had another MRI on February 11th and it showed no changes to the white matter in the brain. This is good. Ideally we would see that all the changes to the white matter would be healed but I would rather see no changes over progression of the White Matter Disease. So I’ll take it! After a few weeks in a row of having none of her neurological episodes Taylor started back on her Methotrexate at 50% dosage on February 26th. Since then she has had a few episodes each week. This week she has had an episode 4 out of the last 5 days. This morning Chris and I could not even get her to wake up for about 3 hours. No shaking, poking, or obnoxiousness could wake her up. No one is still really sure what is going on. They are talking about getting Taylor in to see the Cardiologist at the hospital because when she has her episodes her heart races and beats so hard that you can feel her chest pounding, in addition, you could actually take her pulse sitting next to her by just looking at her neck because it is throbbing so hard.
March 7th Bella’s Baldies (Taylor’s St. Baldrick’s Shaving Team) participated in the St. Baldrick’s Event at Helen Fitzgeralds. We had a team of 6 shavees consisting of Chris (Daddy), Uncle Nick, Jason B., Nigel, Eugene, Cousin Jackson and raised over $4,000 as a team (that also includes some donations that family members helped to generate)! Taylor and I were so very touched by everyone’s support and dedication in finding a cure for Childhood Cancer. Whether you donated to our team, shaved your head, were there to cheer us on, or in spirit….you ROCK! As a team we will be participating again next year. I hope to generate even more awareness and get more shavers and/or more donations. I have to say though, honestly, bald heads have never been so beautiful (or handsome) to me!
Before I go, I would also like to ask for all of you to also keep my mother in your prayers. She was diagnosed 2 weeks ago with Endometrial Cancer. She had surgery last week and will begin treatment shortly.

So glad to hear that Taylor is in remission and on the road to recovery. She is such a strong little girl! And of course, I will keep your mother in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi, Iam very happy that Taylor is doing well and your mother will be in my prayers so that her, Taylor and others who have or not have cancer will get better.Taylor keep fighting you brave girl. I like many people who dont know you but watch your videos and pictures feel like we have know you for a long time and consider you a friend.I know that you dont know me but I hope you consider me and others as a friends. Take care and god bless you,your sister and mom and dad and all your family members.
